description abstract | By using the numerical algorithm proposed in part 1, a parametric analysis was performed in this second part of the paper in order to determine the time‐dependent behavior of continuous composite beams subjected to static and geometrical actions. This analysis has shown that in the case of composite structures under constant static actions the restraint reactions undergo very limited variations with time, while the deflections vary considerably. Conversely, in the case of constant geometrical actions, the deflections undergo very limited variations with time, while the restraint reactions vary considerably. This occurs for any value of the stiffness of the connectors, but, in particular, for the two limit situations of stiffness being either null or infinite there are two invariance conditions that hold. Like the two theorems of linear viscoelasticity for homogeneous structures, these invariance conditions state that the restraint reactions under static actions, as well as the deflections under geometrical actions, can be elastically evaluated. The shear‐force distribution at the interface and the influence of rheologic parameters and of the shrinkage of the concrete slab were investigated. | |
