    Abstract: The earthquake response of torsionally coupled buildings is presented for a wide range of the system parameters. By comparing these responses with those of corresponding torsionally uncoupled systems, the effects of lateral‐torsional coupling on building motions, arising from lack of symmetry in building plan, are identified.
