Abstract: Equations expressed in explicit power algebraic forms for one‐dimensional upward water movement, cumulative infiltration, and infiltration rate have been derived. These equations are based on three derived consecutive time zones. The validity of the derived equations has been examined by using published data. The comparisons of computed and observed data show very good agreement.
