Abstract: A single, continuous equation, which takes into account the linear and nonlinear components of the Price meter rotor response, was used to examine two current meter calibration strategies. Results showed that the uncertainty of group calibrations is substantially greater than that of calibrations of individual meters. The difference may be due to meter fabrication variances for velocities greater than 0.3 m/s. Calibration accuracies are less sensitive to calibration strategies at velocities less than 0.3 m/s due to residual velocities in the towing tank.
