Abstract: Blast response was modeled with a two support, two degree of freedom (TDF) system to investigate the importance of traveling wave excitation. Measured structural response was found to correlate better with either single degree of freedom or TDF calculated response than with peak ground motion when excitation frequency varies greatly.
