ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Approximation of Fundamental Equations for Finite-Dimensional Modeling of Thermo-Fluid Processes
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Finite-dimensional lumped models of thermo-fluid processes are usually formulated from fundamental conservation equations. In dynamic modeling and system simulation, internal energy is often replaced ...
Fuel Controller Design in a Once-Through Subcritical Steam Generator System
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Established techniques have been applied for modeling a once-through subcritical steam generator in an oil-fired 386 MW(e) power generation system. The model was used to design a fuel controller ...
Nonlinear Dynamic Model of a Fluidized-Bed Steam Generation System
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A dynamic model of an atmospheric pressure fluidized-bed steam generation system is presented which allows digital simulation and analytical controller design. The nonlinear, time-invariant, ...
Damage-Mitigating Control of Power Systems for Structural Durability and High Performance
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A major goal in the control of complex power systems such as advanced aircraft, spacecraft, and electric power plants is to achieve high performance with increased reliability, availability, ...
