ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Comparison of Two- and Three-Dimensional Flow Computations With Laser Anemometer Measurements in a Transonic Compressor Rotor
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Two-and three-dimensional inviscid solutions for the flow within a transonic axial compressor rotor at design speed are compared to laser anemometer measurements at maximum flow and near stall ...
Investigation of Flow Phenomena in a Transonic Fan Rotor Using Laser Anemometry
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Several flow phenomena, including flow field periodicity, rotor shock oscillation, and rotor shock system geometry have been investigated in a transonic low aspect ratio fan rotor using laser ...
Efficient Laser Anemometer for Intra-Rotor Flow Mapping in Turbomachinery
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Innovative features of the anemometer include: (1) a rapid and efficient data acquisition process, (2) a detailed real-time graphic display of the data being accumulated, and (3) input laser ...
Laser Anemometer Measurements in a Transonic Axial Flow Compressor Rotor
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A laser anemometer system employing an efficient data acquisition technique has been used to make measurements upstream, within, and downstream of the compressor rotor. A fluorescent dye technique ...
