ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Evaluation of Creep Constitutive Equations for Type 304 Stainless Steel Under Repeated Multiaxial Loading
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Four kinds of creep constitutive models, i.e., strain-hardening, modified strain-hardening, kinematic-hardening, and mixed-hardening theory, are evaluated on the basis of creep-test results on type ...
Detailed and Simplified Elastoplastic Analyses of a Cyclically Loaded Notched Bar
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: To find some features in the development of cyclic hardening in structural components with areas of strain concentration, detailed and simplified elastoplastic analyses are performed on an ...
Experimental Evaluation of Creep Constitutive Equations for Type 304 Stainless Steel Under Non-Steady Multiaxial States of Stress
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In order to evaluate the validity and limitations of the creep-hardening surface model proposed by the present authors, a series of creep tests for type 304 stainless steel were performed at ...
Constitutive Modeling of Anisothermal Cyclic Plasticity of 304 Stainless Steel
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Temperature-history dependence in anisothermal cyclic plasticity of 304 stainless steel is studied for the constitutive modeling within the temperature range from room temperature to 600°C. ...
Creep Behavior of a Unidirectional SCS-6/Ti-15-3 Metal Matrix Composite at 450°C
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: As the first step to understand the creep behavior of a unidirectional SCS-6/Ti-15-3 metal matrix composite, creep tests were performed at 450°C using specimens reinforced with fibers oriented ...
A Constitutive Model of Creep Describing Creep Recovery and Material Softening Caused by Stress Reversals
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The constitutive model of creep proposed by the present authors on the basis of a creep-hardening surface in creep strain space (CHS model) is first modified to incorporate creep recovery. It ...
