ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Theoretical Thermal Evaluation of Energy Recovery Incinerators—Part II: Parametric Examination
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The thermal characteristics of energy recovery incinerators are examined, both parametrically and, to the extent possible, by direct comparison. A mathematic model is employed, using a computer ...
Theoretical Thermal Evaluation of Energy Recovery Incinerators—Part I: Modeling
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A mathematical model is developed to simulate the thermal characteristics of energy recovery incinerators. This model takes descriptions of the fuel and of the incinerator as inputs then predicts ...
Design and Evaluation of Evaporating Lens Direct Contact Heat Exchangers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: An explicit procedure for analyzing a superheated, evaporating lens direct contact heat exchanger has been developed. This method is based upon the application of a dimensional analysis derivation ...
