ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Fatigue Analysis of Offshore Structures
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: As the offshore industry moves into deeper water, the dynamic behavior of structures becomes a very important parameter in the overall design procedures. In particular, the cyclic nature of ...
Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of Guyed Tower Platforms
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A method of analysis is presented to predict the nonlinear dynamic behavior of compliant offshore structures, in particular guyed tower platforms. The structural model is analyzed in time domain ...
Vortex Shedding Induced Dynamic Response of Marine Risers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: An analytical model to predict the dynamic response of a riser in regular waves or in current to vortex shedding-induced lift forces is described. The riser is treated as a continuous beam ...
