ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Analysis of the Horizontal to Vertical Orientation of Deep Water Risers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of the problem of reorientation of a riser pipe from an initially horizontal configuration during subsurface tow to the vertical position for installation. Front ...
Dynamics of Suspended Marine Pipelines
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: As the development of offshore oil and gas production proceeds, the dynamic stresses in pipelines induced by laying operations become more important. The contribution of this paper is to the ...
Finite Element Analysis With the State Variable Transfer Matrix and Geometric Nonlinearity for Marine Pipelines in Subsurface Tow
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: An analytical study of subsurface transportation of long marine pipelines has been performed. Systematic models and numerical algorithms are developed to predict the static configuration and stress ...
Dynamic Motions of Marine Pipelines on the Ocean Bottom
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper describes a dynamic model of a pipeline portion exposed to wave and current forces for the purpose of assessing on bottom stability. When an exposed span is marginally stable, and ...
