ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Study of Dynamic Model of Helical/Herringbone Planetary Gear System With Friction Excitation
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Tooth friction is unavoidable and changes periodically in gear engagement. Friction excitation is an important excitation source of a gear transmission system. They are different than the friction coefficients of any two ...
Coupled Dynamic Characteristics of Wind Turbine Gearbox Driven by Ring Gear Considering Gravity
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Gravity is usually neglected in the dynamic modeling and analysis of the transmission system, especially in some relatively lightweight equipment. The weight of wind turbine gearbox is up to tens of tons or even hundreds ...
Modeling and Dynamic Characteristics of Planetary Gear Transmission in Non-inertial System of Aerospace Environment
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The traditional research on the dynamics of planetary gear transmission (PGT) is based on the assumption that the support is on the ground. However, the PGT inside the aircraft is spatially moved along with the airframe, ...
