ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

A Global Limit Load Solution for Plates With Embedded Off-Set Elliptical Cracks Under Combined Tension and Bending
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A global limit load solution is derived in this paper for embedded off-set elliptical cracks in a plate under combined tension and bending, based on the net-section collapse principle. The new ...
An Experimental Study of the Crack Growth Behavior of 16MnR Pressure Vessel Steel
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: An experimental investigation was conducted on the crack growth behavior of a pressure vessel steel, 16MnR, in ambient air. Standard compact tension specimens were subjected to Mode I loading ...
Multiaxial Fatigue of 16MnR Steel
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Uniaxial, torsion, and axial-torsion fatigue experiments were conducted on a pressure vessel steel, 16MnR, in ambient air. The uniaxial experiments were conducted using solid cylindrical specimens. ...
