ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

An Investigation on the Properties of Underwater Shock Waves Generated in Underwater Explosions of High Explosives
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A cylinder expansion test for high explosives was carried out to determine JWL parameters. Using the JWL parameters, we carried out numerical simulations of the underwater shock waves generated ...
The Wear of Thermally Stable Diamond During Rock Cutting
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Single-cutter experiments have been performed to investigate the cutting and wear of thermally stable diamond (SYNDAX3) during rock cutting. Cutting forces increase linearly with depth of cut, ...
An Examination of the Ignition Delay Period in Gas-Fueled Diesel Engines
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Changes in the physical and chemical processes during the ignition delay period of a gas-fueled diesel engine (dual-fuel engine) due to the increased admission of the gaseous fuels and diluents ...
The Effects of Diesel Injector Needle Motion on Spray Structure
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The internal structure of diesel fuel injectors is known to have a significant impact on the steady-state fuel distribution within the spray. However, little experimental or computational work ...
The Constrained Least-Square Optimization of Spherical Four-Bar Path Generators
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In this paper, the optimization of the spherical RRRR four-bar linkage for the problem of path generation is addressed. The problem is formulated as a two-loop minimization of the error between ...
Pool Boiling on a Downward Facing Microheater Array Under the Influence of the Electric Fields
