ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Tooth Contact Analysis for Helical Gears with Pinion Circular Arc Teeth and Gear Involute Shaped Teeth
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In this paper, the theory of gearing and the concept of differential geometry have been applied to deal with the relations of two mating gears and of their bearing contact. The gear tooth ...
A Mathematical Model for the Tooth Geometry of Circular-Cut Spiral Bevel Gears
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A complete tooth geometry of the circular-cut spiral bevel gears has been mathematically modeled. The mathematical model has been divided into several independent modules, each representing an ...
A Study on the Tooth Geometry and Cutting Machine Mechanisms of Spiral Bevel Gears
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The tooth geometry and cutting machine mechanisms of spiral bevel gears are investigated. Based on the kinematics of titled head cutter, machine cradle, sliding base and work head, the matrix ...
