ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Decentralized Feedback Control of Broadband Duct Noise with Nodal Placement of Colocated Actuator-Sensor Pairs
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents experimental results from a demonstration of feedback control experiments on an open-ended acoustic duct, using nodally placed colocated actuator-sensor pairs. The disturbance ...
Spectral Characteristics of Sheet/Cloud Cavitation
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Cavitation observations were made using a highly instrumented 2D NACA 0015 hydrofoil mounted in a specially designed water tunnel. It was found that the dynamic characteristics of the cavitation ...
Effects of Seal Geometry on Dynamic Impeller Fluid Forces and Moments
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper reports an experimental investigation of the rotordynamic fluid force and moment on a centrifugal impeller with three types of wear-ring seals; i.e., a face seal and two types of ...
Decision-Based Collaborative Optimization
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In this research a Collaborative Optimization (CO) approach for multidisciplinary systems design is used to develop a decision based design framework for non-deterministic optimization. To date ...
