ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Thermodynamic Analysis of the Darcy Law
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The Darcy law is used extensively to describe the flow of fluids through porous media. According to this law the fluid flow is linearly dependent upon the pressure gradient and the gravitational ...
Discussion: “Analysis of a Liquid Vapor Phase Change by the Methods of Irreversible Thermodynamics” (Bornhorst, W. J., and Hatsopoulos, G. N., 1967, ASME J. Appl. Mech., 34, pp. 840–846)
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Irreversible Thermodynamics of the Thermal Characteristics of Porous Insulators
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The entropy equation contains terms which indicate entropy generation due to two irreversible processes: Heat flow in the presence of temperature gradient, and gas flow in the presence of ...
