ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Centrifugal Pendulum Vibration Absorbers—Theory and Practice
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Reciprocating mechanical systems, such as pumps and compressors, present a nonuniform dynamic load to the driving motor. These load variations and their interactions with the dynamic characteristics ...
Dynamic System Response Technology Transfer Via Computer Modeling
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Traditionally the mechanical engineering design area of the mechanical engineering discipline has concerned itself with static design concepts. Recently, many university mechanical engineering curricula ...
The Displacement Synthesis of Four-Bar Straight-Line Mechanisms
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents an analytical method for synthesizing a four-bar linkage from a slider-crank mechanism using the cubic of stationary curvature of the slider crank. A coupler point on the ...
The Determination of the Lewis Form Factor and the AGMA Geometry Factor J for External Spur Gear Teeth
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents a simple and direct approach to the problem of the definition of the root profile for standard and nonstandard external spur gear teeth. Equations are developed for the ...
The Undercutting of Hobbed Spur Gear Teeth
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A general method is presented for the determination of the minimum number of teeth that can be cut in a spur gear without undercutting by a rounded-tooth tip hob. The minimum number of teeth ...
