ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Flow Development Through Interturbine Diffusers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Interturbine diffusers offer the potential advantage of reducing the flow coefficient in the following stages, leading to increased efficiency. The flows associated with these ducts differ from ...
The Off-Design Performance of a Low-Pressure Turbine Cascade
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The ability of a given blade profile to operate over a wide range of conditions is often of the utmost importance. This paper reports the off-design performance of a low-pressure turbine rotor ...
Three-Dimensional Flow in a Low-Pressure Turbine Cascade at Its Design Condition
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper describes an experimental study of the three-dimensional flow within a high-speed linear cascade of low-pressure turbine blades. Data were obtained using pneumatic probes and a surface ...
An Investigation of Factors Influencing the Calibration of Five-Hole Probes for Three-Dimensional Flow Measurements
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The effects of Reynolds number, Mach number, and turbulence on the calibrations of commonly used types of five-hole probe are discussed. The majority of the probes were calibrated at the exit ...
The Influence of Blade Wakes on the Performance of Interturbine Diffusers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Interturbine diffusers provide continuity between HP and LP turbines while diffusing the flow upstream of the LP turbine. Increasing the mean turbine diameter offers the potential advantage of ...
