ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Buckling of Shallow Spherical Shells—The Significance of the Pole Conditions
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Nonlinear Seismic Analysis of Thin Reactor Containment Vessels
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A comparison between the linear and nonlinear seismic analysis of a thin unreinforced steel reactor containment vessel is presented. The effects of the nonlinear coupling between the low Fourier ...
Dynamic Buckling of Shallow Spherical Shells
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The dynamic behavior of clamped shallow spherical shells subjected to axisymmetric and nearly axisymmetric step-pressure loads is examined using a digital computer program for the geometrically ...
Fluid Mass Matrices for Thin Shell-of-Revolution Tanks
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents the equations for thin shell-of-revolution tanks containing an arbitrary level of fluid. The mass matrix can be used with any finite element or finite difference digital ...
