ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Instant-Center Based Force Transmissivity and Singularity Analysis of Planar Linkages
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The instant centers of velocity (ICs) of most planar mechanisms can be determined as the intersection of the lines of centers, also known as Aronhold–Kennedy lines, along which the ICs of ...
Real-Time Computation of the Actual Posture of the General Geometry 6-6 Fully-Parallel Mechanism Using Two Extra Rotary Sensors
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The paper presents three algorithms for the determination of the actual configuration of the general geometry 6-6 fully-parallel mechanism by using two extra rotary sensors in addition to the ...
Determination of the Actual Configuration of the General Stewart Platform Using Only One Additional Sensor
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents a procedure for the determination of the actual configuration of the general geometry Stewart platform (GSP), a fully-parallel manipulator that features two rigid bodies ...
