ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

A Hybrid Model to Predict the Onset of Gas Entrainment With Surface Tension Effects
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The onset of gas entrainment in a single downward discharge, from a stratified gas-liquid region, was modeled. The discharge was modeled as a point-sink and Kelvin–Laplace’s equation was used ...
Modeling the Onset of Gas Entrainment in a Single Downward Discharge From a Stratified Gas-Liquid Region With Liquid Crossflow
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The critical height at the onset of gas entrainment, in a single downward oriented discharge from a stratified gas-liquid region with liquid crossflow, was modeled. The assumptions made in the ...
Incipience of Liquid Entrainment From a Stratified Gas-Liquid Region in Multiple Discharging Branches
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The onset of liquid entrainment in discharging branches, from a stratified gas-liquid region, has implications in industrial applications where safety is of concern. The onset criterion was ...
Flow Field Characterization at the Onset of Gas Entrainment in a Single Downward Discharge Using Particle Image Velocimetry
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The incipience of two-phase flow in discharging branches from a stratified gas-liquid region has major implications in industrial applications where safety is of concern. An experimental investigation ...
