ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Film Cooling Effectiveness in High-Turbulence Flow
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The mechanisms influencing film cooling effectiveness on a flat plate in high free-stream turbulence using a single row of 30 deg slant-hole injectors are examined. The primary area of focus ...
Heat Transfer on a Flat Surface Under a Region of Turbulent Separation
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Fluid dynamics and heat transfer measurements were performed for a separation bubble formed on a smooth, flat, constant-heat-flux plate. The separation was induced by an adverse pressure gradient ...
The Effect of High Free-Stream Turbulence on Film Cooling Effectiveness
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This study investigated the adiabatic wall cooling effectiveness of a single row of film cooling holes injecting into a turbulent flat plate boundary layer below a turbulent, zero pressure ...
