ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

On Natural Vibrations and Waves in Laminated Orthotropic Plates
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A solution method is presented for studying the vibrations of a laminated plate composed of an arbitrary number of bonded elastic, orthotropic layers. The analysis is carried out within the ...
Consistent Formulation of Sound Radiation From Arbitrary Structure
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A refined and efficient approach is presented for determining the radiated sound pressure levels in an infinite acoustic medium produced by a closed structure undergoing harmonic vibratory motion. ...
A Refined Theory for Laminated Orthotropic Plates
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A refined structural theory is presented which accurately models the static and dynamic behavior of laminated orthotropic plates. The refined theory extends classical theory to include transverse ...
