ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Analysis of Corrosion Fatigue Crack Growth in Welded Tubular Joints
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: An improved fracture mechanics model for fatigue crack growth in welded tubular joints is developed. Primary improvements include the use of a wide-ranged equation for the fatigue crack growth ...
Acrylic Plastic Spherical Shell Windows Under Point Impact Loading
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Acrylic plastic spherical shell sector windows with 117-deg included angle and outside radius of 24-in. (61 mm), have been impacted at their center, with a 12,500 lb (5662 kg) weight, in a ...
Structural Performance of Acrylic Plastic Plane Disk Windows With Twin Conical Bearing Surfaces
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Exploratory investigation into the structural performance of acrylic plastic plane disk windows with twin conical bearing surfaces has shown that such windows behave under hydrostatic loading ...
