ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Velocity and Static-Pressure Distributions in Swirling Air Jets Issuing From Annular and Divergent Nozzles
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Mean-velocity and static-pressure measurements have been made in a series of swirling air jets issuing from annular and divergent nozzles into stagnant-air surroundings. Swirl was generated by ...
The Flow Region Near the Nozzle in Double Concentric Jets
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The type of double concentric jets considered in this paper consists of a central round air jet surrounded by an annular air jet issuing into stagnant air surroundings. Detailed measurements ...
Experimental Investigation of Swirling Vortex Motion in Jets
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Experiments have been carried out in a series of axisymmetric free turbulent jets with degrees of swirl covering the weak, moderate, and strong ranges, including the case of the onset of ...
Experimental Investigations of Annular Liquid Curtains
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Experiments have been performed to study the dynamics of vertical annular liquid curtains. Using a high and a low speed photographic recording technique, different modes of curtain formation ...
Design and Uncertainty Analysis of a Series of Atomization Experiments in Seven Variables
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Atomization of liquids is a phenomenon that involves many variables. In order to find correlations for the effects of an extended set of variables, dimensional analysis and experimental design ...
