ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Experimental and Analytical Study of the Frequencies of an S-C-S-C Plate Carrying a Concentrated Mass
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The present work is concerned with the determination of the fundamental frequencies of a simply supported-clamped-simply supported-clamped (SCSC) plate carrying a concentrated mass. An energy method ...
Eigen-Analysis of a Tip-Loaded Beam Attached to a Rotating Joint
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In this paper, a method of eigen-analysis for a vibrating elastic system is presented. The model analyzed is a Bernoulli-Euler beam having a slender payload at the free end and being attached ...
A Lagrangian Formulation of the Dynamic Model for Flexible Manipulator Systems
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents a procedure for deriving dynamic equations for manipulators containing both rigid and flexible links. The equations are derived using Hamilton’s principle, and are nonlinear ...
