ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Dynamic Response of a High-Speed Slider-Crank Mechanism With an Elastic Connecting Rod
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: To achieve the performance of a mechanism to a higher degree of accuracy requires that the elastic deformations of a member in a mechanism under dynamic loading conditions be taken into ...
A Numerical Method for the Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems in Impact
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper develops a general procedure for solving mechanism problems where intermittent separations and impacts can occur between mating parts. The numerical technique employed to solve the ...
Stress and Displacement Analysis of a Shell Intersection
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The problem of two normally intersecting cylindrical shells subjected to internal pressure is considered. The differential equations used for the shells are solved subject to the boundary conditions ...
