ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

A Computational Method for Solving Arbitrary Two-Dimensional Physiological Flows
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Time-Dependent Laminar Backward-Facing Step Flow in a Two-Dimensional Duct
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents results of numerical studies of the impulsively starting backward-facing step flow with the step being mounted in a plane, two-dimensional duct. Results are presented for ...
Study of Laminar, Unsteady Piston-Cylinder Flows
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The present paper concerns numerical investigation of a piston-driven, axisymmetric flow in a pipe assembly containing a sudden expansion. The piston closes the larger of the two pipes. The ...
Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Flow Oscillations in a Rectangular Cavity
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The unsteady, incompressible, moderate Reynolds number flow past a rectangular cavity is experimentally and numerically investigated. Laser-Doppler anemometry, flow visualization and unsteady numerical ...
