ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Linear and Nonlinear Analyses of Skewed Plates
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The perturbation method is used to analyze small and large-deflection problems of clamped skewed plates under uniform pressure. The results are improved by successive approximations to the three ...
On the Torsion of Isotropic Prismatic Rods With a Parallelogram Cross Section
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Nonlinear Behavior of Symmetrically Laminated Plates
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Application of Advanced Diagnostics to Airblast Injector Flows
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Experimental data on the characteristics of the spray produced by a gas turbine engine airblast fuel injector are reported. The data acquired include the mass-flux distribution, measured by use ...
High Weber Number SMD Correlations for Pressure Atomizers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Published correlations for the Sauter Mean Diameter (SMD) of sprays produced by pressure atomizing injectors have generally taken the form, SMD = Aω̇B ΔPC . The system of units and the fuel ...
An Alternative to the Weibull Function for Some Cases
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Doubt about the applicability of the Weibull function has been expressed by various workers, some of whom have suggested modifications to the Weibull function. Such modifications usually involve ...
