ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Advanced Techniques for Measuring Structural Mobilities
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A unified formulation of the equations for estimating structural frequency response functions is presented. The more popular approaches are shown to be special cases of a general equation which ...
Cascade Flutter Analysis of Cantilevered Blades
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: An analysis has been developed to treat the aeroelastic behavior of a cascade of cantilevered blades. The unique features of the formulation include consideration of (a) coupling between bending ...
Forced Vibrations of a Single Stage Axial Compressor Rotor
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A semi-empirical method, utilizing modal analysis based on experimentally obtained modeshapes has been used to study the vibration response of a 23 bladed axial compressor rotor. The system ...
