ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Influence of a Shroud on Swirler Flow Fields
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The flow fields for swirlers with and without a shroud were measured using a twocomponent laser-Doppler velocimeter (LDV) system. The primary goal of this study is to investigate the effect ...
Effect of Inlet Flow Angle on the Erosion of Radial Turbine Guide Vanes
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The results of an investigation of the particle dynamics and the blade erosion at the impact locations in radial turbine guide vanes are presented. Attention is focused in particular on the ...
Initial Drop Size and Velocity Distributions for Airblast Coaxial Atomizers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Initial drop size and velocity distributions, after complete disintegration of coaxial liquid jets, were determined by phase Doppler measurements. The measured radial distributions of Sauter mean ...
