ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

A Theory for Fine Particle Deposition in Two-Dimensional Boundary Layer Flows and Application to Gas Turbines
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A theory is presented to predict deposition rates of fine particles in two-dimensional compressible boundary layer flows. The mathematical model developed accounts for diffusion due to both ...
Multistage Turbine Erosion
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents a computer package developed to calculate the blade erosion rates in multistage turbines that use particle-laden hot expansion gases. This package is an extension of the ...
Blade Boundary Layer Effect on Turbine Erosion and Deposition
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: As an extension to the inviscid gas flow particle trajectory model presented in earlier papers, a complementary model has been developed to establish the effect of the blade boundary layer on ...
