ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Transient Reacting Flow Simulation of Spouted Fluidized Bed for Coal Direct Chemical Looping Combustion
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Coaldirect chemicallooping combustion (CDCLC) is a next generation combustion technology that shows great promise as a solution for the need of highefficiency lowcost carbon capture from fossil fueled power plants. To ...
An Eulerian Approach to Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulation of a Chemical Looping Combustion Reactor With Chemical Reactions
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Chemicallooping combustion (CLC) is a nextgeneration combustion technology that shows great promise in addressing the need for highefficiency lowcost carbon capture from fossil fueled power plants. Although there have been ...
Transient Cold Flow Simulation of Fast Fluidized Bed Fuel Reactors for Chemical-Looping Combustion
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Circulating fluidized bed in chemical-looping combustion (CLC) is a recent technology that provides great advantage for gas–solid interaction and efficiency. In order to obtain a thorough understanding of this technology ...
Numerical Analysis of the Pressure Peak Position Shift With Deadrise Angle in Two-Dimensional Wedge Water Entry
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This study deals with the pressure peak position shift with deadrise angle during the initial phase of a two-dimensional (2D) wedge water entry. The finite volume method with volume of fluid (VOF) and dynamic mesh technique ...
Experimental Study of Transient Hydrodynamics in a Spouted Bed of Polydisperse Particles
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In industrial processes such as chemical looping combustion, single-component spouted beds of monodisperse particles are very rarely used but the spouted beds of polydisperse particles have been widely used. The flow ...
Effect of Tip Clearance on Rotating Stall in a Mixed-Flow Pump
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The non-uniform disturbance in the circumferential direction is the essential cause of the occurrence of rotating stall in a turbomachinery. In order to study the effect of tip clearance leakage flow on rotating stall, the ...
Modeling, Simulation, and Optimization of Geological Sequestration of CO2
Publisher: American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: With heightened concerns on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from coal power plants, there has been a major emphasis in recent years on development of safe and economical geological carbon sequestration (GCS) technology. ...
Study of Flow Patterns in a Moving Bed Reactor for Chemical Looping Combustion Based on Machine Learning Methods
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A tower-type moving bed can be used as the air reactor in a chemical looping combustion system because of its low-pressure drop and smooth operation. In our previous simulation, a quasi-two-dimensional numerical model was ...
Application of Wray–Agarwal Turbulence Model in Flow Simulation of a Centrifugal Pump With Semispiral Suction Chamber
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The Wray–Agarwal (WA) turbulence model is selected to simulate the internal and external characteristics of a centrifugal pump with semispiral suction chamber; the numerical results are compared with the experimental data ...
