ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Optimum Chute Profiles in Gravity Flow of Granular Materials: A Discrete Segment Solution Method
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Using a single particle model and an assumed resisting force, the problem of finding the required shape of gravity flow discharge chutes to achieve minimum transit time is formulated by breaking ...
An Investigation of the Gravity Flow of Noncohesive Granular Materials Through Discharge Chutes
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The flow of granular materials through curved or straight discharge chutes is classified as either “fast” or “slow.” Fast flow is the more efficient and occurs when the material flows in ...
Application of Pseudo-Random Test Signals and Cross Correlation to the Identification of Bulk Handling Plant Dynamic Characteristics
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In the determination of the dynamic characteristics of bulk handling systems the complexity of the problem usually makes experimental identification necessary. Experimental techniques which are ...
