ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Thermal Analysis of Surface Mounted Leadless Chip Carriers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A thermal analysis has been made of 40 pin leadless chip carriers (LCC) surface mounted on an alumina substrate. Finite element (FE) codes have been used to numerically simulate the problem. ...
Performance Characteristics of a Compressor-Driven Metal Hydride Refrigerator
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Thermodynamic analyses of compressor-driven metal hydride refrigerators predict a high coefficient of performance. Comparison with the results from a computational model indicates that the coefficient ...
Experimental Study of a Curved Rotating Heat Pipe
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A curved rotating heat pipe for use in motor and generator applications is studied experimentally. The heat pipe is built so that both the condenser and evaporator sections are parallel to ...
