ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Generalized Flow Across an Abrupt Enlargement
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Generalized solutions are developed for the flow across an abrupt enlargement. Three cases are considered, namely; an incompressible fluid, a subsonic compressible fluid, and a compressible fluid ...
Air and Water Studies on a Diffuser-Modified Flow Nozzle
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The effect of adding a separable diffuser to a conventional flow nozzle is studied, analytically and experimentally, concerning the flow discharge coefficient and the loss characteristic of the ...
Methods for Reducing Losses Across Fluid Metering Nozzles
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper concerns the pressure losses involved in measuring flow rate. These losses can be large and affect the choice of pump or flow metering section to be used. Solutions are developed ...
