ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Experimental Research of the Effects of Sweep on Unsteady Hydrofoil Loadings in Cavitation
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of sweep angle on hydrofoil loadings in cavitation. Tests were carried out in a water tunnel on constant-chord full-span hydrofoils at ...
Cavitation Inception on a Circular Cylinder at Critical and Supercritical Flow Range
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Cavitation tests were performed in the critical and supercritical flow range on circular cylinders with and without boundary layer trip. Mean and fluctuating static pressures were meausred on ...
Effects of a Few Small Air Bubbles on the Performance of Circular Cylinder at Critical Flow Range in Water
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In a horizontal flow channel an experimental study was made on the effects of a small amount of air bubbles on the performance of a circular cylinder at a critical flow range where the ...
Hydraulic Forces Acting on a Circular Cylinder With Surface Source of Minute Air Bubbles and Its Cavitation Characteristics
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Experiments are performed by using two circular cylinders made of porous filter material, that is, bronze sintered compact, with a different filter size, respectively, in a water tunnel. The ...
