ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

An Advanced 12Cr Steel Rotor Applicable to Elevated Steam Temperature 593°C
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The upper limit of steam temperature which 12Cr steel rotors can withstand has been considered to be 566°C, but the recent projects on the advanced steam turbine of large capacity demand ...
Optimization of Advanced Steam Condition Power Plants
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The modern pulverized-coal power plant is the product of continuous design experience and component improvement in the 20th century. In recent years, studies of the effect of high temperatures ...
Transient Torsional Vibration of Steam Turbine and Generator Shafts due to High Speed Reclosing of Electric Power Lines
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Transient torsional vibration induced on modern large turbine and generator shafts by high-speed reclosing is investigated qualitatively and quantitatively, assuming linearity and no damping as the ...
