ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

A Finite Element Analysis for Unbonded Flexible Risers Under Torsion
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents a detailed finite-element analysis of unbonded flexible risers. The numerical results are compared to the analytical solutions for various load cases. In the finite-element ...
Numerical and Analytical Modeling of Unbonded Flexible Risers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents an analytical formulation and a finite element analysis of the behavior of multilayer unbonded flexible risers. The finite element model accurately incorporates all the fine ...
One-Dimensional Moving Heat Source in a Hollow FGM Cylinder
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper presents the analytical solution of one-dimensional mechanical and thermal stresses for a hollow cylinder made of functionally graded material. The material properties vary continuously ...
