ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

An Analysis of the Performance of a Gas Turbine Cogeneration Plant
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A computer program has been developed to analyze the thermodynamic performance of a cogeneration plant. Results of parametric studies using this program include partial load operation, inlet air ...
Melt Lubrication of an Annular-Thrust Surface
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Steady-state melt lubrication of two annular-thrust surfaces is investigated analytically and experimentally. Theoretical analysis shows that complete separation of the solid surfaces is possible ...
An Investigation of the Squeeze Film Between Rotating Annuli
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The squeeze film between two plane annuli is examined theoretically and experimentally. The theoretical analysis considers the inertia due to the “centrifugal effect” but neglects all other inertia ...
