ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Effects of Heat Treatment on Sliding Wear and Milling Properties of Ti-6Al-4V Prepared by Selective Laser Melting
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy manufactured by selective laser melting (SLM) has a unique structure and properties. They offer a higher yield and ultimate tensile strengths but lower ductility than traditionally processed samples. ...
Dynamic Characteristics of Rotor-Squeeze Film Damper-Support System Excited by Base Harmonic Excitations Using MHB-AFT Method
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: When operating at high speed, aeroengines mounted on the aircrafts also perform complicated maneuvering flights along with the aircrafts. The engine rotor systems will undergo forced motions excited by base movements and ...
