description abstractEquations are derived for the steady state problem of a foil moving relative to a drum with a geometric deviation from the perfectly circular shape. The fluid in the lubricating film is considered as incompressible and the foil as perfectly flexible but possessing mass. Numerical results are presented for the problem of a stationary foil stretched over a rotating circular drum with a flat.
