description abstractOptimization methods are used to evaluate competing design concepts for real spatial frames. The modeling of spatial frames to obtain an accurate, inexpensive analysis capability is described in detail. The resulting optimization/analysis method is applied to evaluate two design concepts for front end loader lift arm assemblies.
