description abstractA rigid body in plane motion can be guided by specifying the paths or tracks of two of its points. In general these tracks are distinct. One may, however, ask for the guidance of the plane by the motion of two of its points along a single track. In this paper, we describe the kinematic synthesis of the single-track guidance of a rigid body, finite plane displacements of which are prescribed.
