description abstractThe results of a series of short-run cutting tests conducted with “Hi-jet” system using four common commercially available fluids are presented. The possibility of using these tests for on-the-spot determination of optimum pressure is discussed. The dependence of the optimum pressure on the feed rate is investigated.
