| description abstract | Robert G. Landers is currently a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Associate Chair for Graduate Affairs in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of modeling, analysis, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and alternative energy systems; and he has over 100 refereed publications. He received the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award in 2004 and the ASME Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering Best Paper Award in 2014, is a Fellow of ASME, a senior member of IEEE and Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and a member of ASEE. In addition to his service as associate editor for JMSE, he has served in that role for IEEE Transactions on Control System Technology and the ASME Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control. | |
