description abstractA technique is developed for applying a previously derived shaking moment optimization theory for force-balanced four-bar linkages. To this end, a standard linkage configuration is introduced. In addition, the RMS dimensionless moment is formulated as a means of comparing the moment characteristics of different mechanism families.
