description abstractIn this paper, a developed solution structure theorem has been provided. It can be used to solve the wave equation about the structural response of cylinder under the dynamic pressure. This new approach also can be used to solve a batch of partial differential equations having the similar form. A detailed derivation process has been given to show how the solution is obtained. Finally, a practical example is presented, and the finite element result is also provided to validate the accuracy of methodology proposed in this paper. The result shows that it has a high accuracy for solving the elastodynamic response of the cylinder.
