description abstractMicrotubular solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are considered to be ideal for application such as auxiliary power units due to their high thermal shock resistance and their compactness (high volumetric power density). Thus, it is of importance to understand the performance of the cell under actual fuel-fed condition. In this study, we demonstrate the performance of the microtubular SOFCs using a forming gas and a gas reformed from ethanol-water mixture.
